Aadiyogi Shiv: A Journey in Cosmic Indigo
In her most evocative series to date, Aadiyogi Shiv: A Journey in Cosmic Indigo, Sangeeta Gupta channels the meditative power of Shiva through hand-painted textile artworks steeped in natural indigo. Merging ancient symbolism with abstract expression, each piece radiates a quiet divinity—an ode to stillness, cosmic energy, and the eternal dance between creation and consciousness.
Step into the world of Sangeeta Gupta, where brushstrokes speak the language of the cosmos and verses echo through silk and canvas. A multi-hyphenate creative force—abstract artist, poet, author, and filmmaker—Sangeeta’s work transcends mediums, time, and tradition.
With 36 solo art exhibitions across India and abroad, her paintings—often drenched in cosmic indigo and spiritual symbolism—explore the meditative silence of the universe. Her acclaimed textile series, Aadiyogi Shiv: A Journey in Cosmic Indigo, is a celebration of form, devotion, and flow—traveling across 17 destinations globally and immortalized in the Limca Book of Records.
She is the author of 35 books, including poetry anthologies in Hindi and English, with works translated into 11 global languages. Her 36 documentary films, six of which are preserved by the U.S. Library of Congress, chronicle art, identity, and the human spirit.
A former Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Sangeeta left bureaucracy behind to pursue her calling in the arts. Today, she leads the Prithvi Fine Art & Cultural Centre—a vibrant space for creative dialogue and expression in New Delhi.
Every artwork, poem, and film she creates is an invitation: to pause, to reflect, and to rediscover the divine within the everyday.
