Drape of the Eternal Yogi

Inspired by Sangeeta Gupta’s Adiyogi artworks | A Serikos Signature Piece

A saree in silence. A brushstroke of breath.

This ethereal silk organza drape is inspired by Sangeeta Gupta’s poetic visual meditations on Adiyogi, the first yogi, the source of all stillness and cosmic rhythm. With textures drawn from mountains, ashes, and fire-lit skies, the saree translates inner silence into layered color: ash white for the ascetic, burnt sienna for the primal, and ochre for the sacred flame within.

In one of her verses, Gupta writes of Adiyogi:
“He sits still, yet moves the cosmos… the Himalayas breathe through him.”
This saree holds that breath—soft, fluid, and resolute.

Each brush-textured motif mirrors that stillness—digitally rendered from handpainted works that explore the void between silence and sound, body and transcendence.

Fabric: Pure Silk Organza (lightweight 120–140g)
Inspiration: Sangeeta Gupta’s Adiyogi artworks and writings
Color Palette: Ash white base with volcanic orange, rust, and deep charcoal accents
Artistic Style: Abstract meditative textures, digitally hand-painted
Styling Notes: Ideal with bare shoulders, minimal gold, jasmine hair adornments, and inner calm
